Positioning
For anyone who is embarrassed by their signature (let alone their handwriting), Crasive will teach you how to write in cursive while having fun. Different from repetitive handwriting apps, Crasive is a social racing game that will have you writing legibly in no time!
Product Summary
Since the advent of keyboard-based learning, handwriting is taught sporadically in schools because of its repetitiveness and perceived lack of need. Young adults, however, are embarrassed to sign their names! Crasive combines handwriting instruction & practice, cart-type racing action, character customization, micro-transactions, & social ranking features to motivate & entertain learners as they improve their handwriting skills on their own tablet or device.
Problems
Handwriting practice is repetitive and boring
Current applications are solitary activities
Students aren't motivated to improve
Solutions
Each letter, word, or phrase is its own unique race with different locations, competitors, and outcomes
Learners can race against the clock, friends, classmates, or global leaderboards for accuracy, time, and customized vehicles!
Instead of motivating students to get better at writing, Crasive motivates them to get better at the skills needed for writing: accuracy, shape, and speed.
FAQs
What makes Crasive different from other handwriting apps?
Imagine tracing a letter or word with your stylus or finger using a template app. What happens when you're done? In most apps, the only feedback you get is the visual of your work layered on top of the guidelines. What if when you finished, the screen zoomed in on the template to show that is is actually a racetrack in the shape of the letter and your stylus was your car? In standard kart-racing fashion, you watch as your racer tears through the track with the accuracy and speed of your handwriting! With online play, learners can "race" friends, classmates, and global competitors by being faster and more accurate to the writing template! Picture even a split-screen experience where you can control the kart live as you trace letters!
Why will learners come back?
Character & kart customization. Leaderboards. Social features like themed races and teams. Sponsored characters and locations like you see in Fortnite or Minecraft. The possibilities are endless!
Can schools use Crasive?
Absolutely! Imagine teachers tracking student progress at the individual, class, and site level. Mirroring the many training programs that exist already, such as Prodigy Math and Club Penguin, Crasive's combination of school and play will make it a huge hit with students.
How will it make money?
Crasive will support various funding models:
Ad supported
Individual app purchase
Individual subscriptions
Micro-transactions for customization content
Various business-level plans for educational partners such as schools and districts
